Our stylish gîte is ideal for a couple and is 40 square metres in size. It also has an exterior terrace of 10 square metres, making 50 square metres in total. Our garden gîte has a double bed (160 cm), a comfortable sitting area with armchairs and French & English TV with DVD player and also a dining table and chairs. The comfortable bed has a hypoallergenic sprung mattress for extra comfort. The spacious bathroom has a shower and twin basins. The gîte also has a newly designed fitted kitchen, equipped with a fridge, oven, hob, kettle, and includes all the crockery and utensils you will need. When renting the gîte there is a laundry facility available.

The garden gîte has views over the pool and gardens and has its own private terrace with a table and chairs beneath the grape vines where guests can enjoy the warm evening sunshine and a glass of the local Cahors wine whilst watching the sunset. The large 12 x 6 metre heated, salt-water swimming pool is shared with our chambres d'hôtes guests. We are able to offer a free WiFi Internet broadband wireless service, for clients who like to keep in contact via e-mail and wish to access the Internet during their stay. This service is available to clients who arrive equipped with their own portable wireless laptop, and allows access to the Internet while at the garden gîte. All linen, including towels and pool towels, is provided for the gîte. Reservation of the gîte is for a minimum of five nights (low season) or per week Saturday to Saturday (mid and high season) and with a maximum of two persons.

Our luxurious chambres d'hôtes, bed and breakfast in France is set in two hectares of gardens and tranquil wooded grounds. The welcoming garden path with swathes of planted raised beds, leads into the flower filled courtyard. Outside the courtyard is our lily pond, surrounded by plants and full of beautiful water lilies and goldfish. Across the lawns, through the trees and planting, from the flowerbeds, an occasional sculpture appears. Set in the peaceful gardens among the trees, is our boulodrome and badminton court and it is the perfect place for playing a leisurely game of pétanque or enjoying the peace and quiet by just relaxing with a book on a shady bench.

So take a leisurely stroll around the gardens to see wild orchids and watch the abundance of butterflies and birds. La Galerie is a haven for bird-watchers. The birds that can be seen and heard include larger birds of prey; eagles, buzzards, hawks, falcons and owls, as well as garden birds; woodpeckers, wagtails, redstarts and finches. Many species of butterfly can be seen feeding on the flowers in bloom in the gardens at La Galerie throughout the spring and summer months. We have planted many lavender plants in the gardens, as they are particularly popular with these beautiful butterflies. And during breakfast you can sometimes see the wild deer wandering through the gardens.

There are many beautiful old stone buildings of character in the Quercy and Perigord region of southwest France, but there is also some land available if you prefer to build your dream house.
