We had a very good holiday in Catus! We really loved the calm, quiet atmosphere, the beautiful, clean and fresh room; the swimming pool without chlorine; great breakfast.... After leaving your place we stayed for 3 days near the Loire in a small village near Blois. We visited the castles of Blois and Chevery. The sale of our house in UK went through and we are now ensconced in a rented small farmhouse in Epenede near Confolens up in the Charente. We hoped to settle in the Dordogne, Lot, Lot et Garronne, Tarn or Tarn et Garonne and we have just exchanged contracts on the new house. The house is in a hamlet called Bonneuil just a minute away from La Rochebeaucourt right at the top of the Dordogne. We are just relaxing and enjoying the marvellous weather in the Charente. Thank you both so much for a most enjoyable, restful stay at the La Galerie B & B near the town of Cahors and even closer to the small village of Catus. The rooms were spacious, comfortable. and clean. The tv choices included British Satellite for those who speak English as their native tongue. The wifi came in to my room and was very convenient. The bathroom was tiled beautifully and the bed was a welcome relief for my chronically aching back. The pool was gorgeous and comes in handy on those hot summer days. The morning breakfast was simply the best when compared to any B + B petit dejeuner breakfasts ; served with a warm welcome and good morning in our hosts living room. Le Lot has spoiled us. So I am afraid you will have to put up with us again as we have made our mind up that Le Lot is for us.
