sites to explore:

The continental buffet breakfast includes croissants and bread, cold meats and cheese, cereals and yoghurts, jams and honey, coffee or a selection of teas, and seasonal fresh fruit of the region.

There are also many good local restaurants and "Bonnes Tables du Lot" close to La Galerie.
In the close by village of Catus is the local restaurant L’Auberge serving good regional cuisine. In the neighbouring village of St.Medard is probably the best restaurant of the region; Restaurant Le Gindreau for traditional and inventive gourmet cuisine. In the nearby village of Les Arques is the hugely popular La Recreation made famous not only by its fabulous menu but also by its story being told in the book; ”From here, you can’t see Paris” by Michael Sanders.

The location of La Galerie makes it the perfect base for visiting the wonderful sights of this sparsely populated region of southwest France, with beautiful natural scenery and medieval architecture. One of the lowest polluted regions of France, with an abundance of lichen found growing on the barks of the French oaks and the many other tree species in the woodland throughout the pure air of the Lot.
The unspoilt, beautiful, Lot, is very popular with people searching for their own idyllic little piece of France and so we can arrange appointments with experienced local estate agents covering a large area of the Lot and Dordogne, making the search more enjoyable.

La Galerie is the perfect place for restful, tranquil holidays, relaxing short breaks and long weekends.
